10 Steps To Successfully Reboot The X-Men Into The MCU
8. Make Them Stand Out In A Franchise Full Of Teams
While the X-Men are arguably the most famous squad in comic book history, at Fox they acted independently as part of their own franchise but now they'll need to be approached differently by Marvel Studios in order to make sure that they stand out in a series that already has more than a few teams of its own.
We've already seen a dysfunctional group of disparate personalities brought together to tackle a problem with world or universe-destroying implications and learning to resolve their personal differences along the way in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers movies, while The Eternals are set to add a cosmic slant to the familiar formula when they arrive next year, while The Revengers are also rumored to expand their numbers in Thor: Love and Thunder.
Then there's the constant speculation that the Young Avengers could be on their way to the MCU, as well as the eventual Fantastic Four reboot that brings another high-profile team into the shared mythology. With so many bands of brothers and sisters already in play, the rebooted X-Men will have to bring something fresh and different to the party to stand out in an increasingly-packed roster of team-based adventures.
