10 Storyline Ideas For A Boba Fett Spin Off Film

9. The Death Of Boba Fett

There was a lot of buzz last week when the ever-faithful folks over at Latino Review broke a rumor that the upcoming Boba Fett spin-off will feature his death.: the result would be an anonymous person taking on his identity as the galaxy's most dangerous man. An interesting concept but has to be considered extremely unlikely. A couple of problems with this idea would be that it would completely undermine and destroy the character. There has been a lot of talk and debate in regards to where the Star Wars Expanded Universe will fall in regards to the sequel trilogy. Purest fans say it should count where others say no, sorry. If one thing has to be considered canon, it is the film universe and what fans witness on screen. If the Expanded Universe is to be scraped, than the canon of the films has to remain. Killing Boba Fett and saying that everything we've seen on screen is not the boy we saw in Attack of the Clones not only undermines the films but the original story that George Lucas crafted as well. That being said, lets play with this a little. There are a couple of directions that this could go if it were in fact truthful that this is what fans are going to see in the spin-off film. It has to be assumed that the Boba Fett seen in Empire Strikes Back is the same as the one introduced in Attack of the Clones: He has Jango Fett's voice since the re-re-re-release where Temuera Morrison's voice was added. A possibly leaping point could be after Empire Strikes Back and in between Return of the Jedi. After all, fans know that the way Fett goes out in Return of the Jedi couldn't be how Fett "Prime" would have bit it, right?
