10 Strongest MCU Heroes To Never Join The Avengers

4. Wong

Though he was woefully underused in Avengers: Infinity War, Wong was an incredibly powerful sorcerer long before Stephen Strange ever set foot in Kamar Taj. He trained under the Ancient One with Mordo, and was chosen as the new guardian of the library after Kaecilius killed the previous one. Clearly he was trusted to fight off another attack.

He was also integral to the training of the future Sorcerer Supreme, passing on his vast knowledge of the mystic arts. Not only did he help defend the Hong Kong Sanctum from Kaecilius, using the Wand of Watoomb in the process, he once threatened to kill Stephen Strange, and you knew he meant it.

Even when his role at the New York Sanctum changed to assist Doctor Strange, he proved his strength by fighting the Black Order when they came to Earth. He was able to use his power to wound Ebony Maw, and saved Stark and Banner from Cull Obsidian. Had it not been for Wong that day in the park, Bruce Banner may not have lived long enough to snap the fallen heroes back.

Just about all of Wong's strength comes from his mastery of the mystic arts, which he was also able to use to not only bring back dozens of snapped away characters, but to protect their lives from the fire rained down upon them by Thanos and his forces.
