10 Stupid Decisions Made By Saw Characters

7. "No Exit" - Jigsaw

Saw V Strahm
Lionsgate

This questionable decision comes courtesy of Ryan, one of three surviving characters ready to take on Jigsaw's next test.

Something that has become evident throughout the Saw franchise is that Jigsaw is actually quite a helpful antagonist. Although wits are required to escape his games alive, the considerate maniac leaves a series of hints around the scene.

Unfortunately it is a frustrating and rather convenient trait that many characters in the series share when they choose to ignore the handy hints scattered here and there.

After becoming a little overwhelmed by the situation, poor Ryan chooses to disregard a door marked "NO EXIT," and decides to make a dive for freedom. Before you can say "duh" his foot crashes through the floor and is ensnared in razor sharp wire.

This sets off yet another "game," wherein Ryan must amputate his ankle in order to save his fellow captives from a rapidly filling grain silo. But one can't help roll their eyes at this perilous plot development as it was so easily avoidable.

If Ryan had only heeded his captor's warning, the deadly game would never have been triggered. Which leaves us wondering, what would've happened had this character actually been smart? Would he have lived to fight another day?

Hi! The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a HUGE horror movie nut. A confirmed addict to the WhatCulture Horror YouTube channel I thought I'd try my luck on their writing team. I'm a wannabe author with one completed manuscript submitted to a few agents. Please cross your fingers for me! I am currently working on my second book. If you wanna talk horror or need any movie recommendations, I'm your man! Give me a follow on Instagram... since there doesn't seem to be a section for that in the "socials" tab @that_horror_nerd
