10 Stupid Decisions Made By Saw Characters

3. Jill Runs - Saw 3D

Jill Tuck is John Kramer's ex-wife and the police pursue her doggedly, believing she must know something of future Jigsaw plans.

Saw VI reveals to us that Jill is an ice queen. Aware of her ex-husband's activities, she has agreed to carry out his posthumous last wish and assume the mantle of Jigsaw.

In an ice-cold performance, Betsy Russell delights in taking the power-mad Detective Hoffman captive and ending his Jigsaw reign. With the iconic reverse bear trap in place, Jill leaves Hoffman to his bloody fate.

Although the least successful entry in the franchise, fans and critics agreed that Russell's turn as Jigsaw wrapped up the series nicely and would've been a fitting end. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

In a move that still irks fans to this day, Saw 3D sees Hoffman effortlessly escape Jill's trap. Jill goes from badass final boss to standard frightened horror movie victim.

In an even stranger move, she chooses to seek out police protection, which seems to be a painfully obvious decision to sideline her for most of the film. When she is finally hunted down and trapped by Hoffman, we see all her character's strength and icy villainy explode in a useless plume of blood and guts.

It's a crying shame this character was robbed of her strength and reduced to a quivering victim.

Hi! The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a HUGE horror movie nut. A confirmed addict to the WhatCulture Horror YouTube channel I thought I'd try my luck on their writing team. I'm a wannabe author with one completed manuscript submitted to a few agents. Please cross your fingers for me! I am currently working on my second book. If you wanna talk horror or need any movie recommendations, I'm your man! Give me a follow on Instagram... since there doesn't seem to be a section for that in the "socials" tab @that_horror_nerd
