Quentin Tarantino and Tony Scott are two filmmakers who know more than a thing or two about on-screen violence, so when Scott signed up to direct Tarantino's script with True Romance audiences knew they were going to be treated to some great action. The film certainly delivers on all fronts, with excellent performances from Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken thrown in for good measure. But the most brutally violent scene in True Romance is undoubtedly the moment where Patricia Arquette goes up against a vicious Mobster played by James Gandolfini. Bloody, brutal and ultra-stylish in its direction, it sees everything from toilet seats to corkscrews and hairspray being used to inflict as much damage as possible.
