10 Successful Movies That Prove You Will Watch ANYTHING

6. Transformers: Age Of Extinction

Grown Ups
Paramount Pictures

Box Office: $1.104 billion

The fourth film in the Transformers franchise, that has somehow managed to keep itself alive, Age of Extinction was actually the highest grossing film of all of 2014 despite all the negative critical press it received.

Despite losing the majority of the writers, cast members and general appeal from the original outing (A pretty decent if unspectacular film) Transformers somehow managed to carry on as a successful franchise. Baffling, considering the quality standard on show in Age of Extinction.

Wahlberg delivers an obviously phoned in performance that somehow has fans clamouring for an unstable LaBeouf to be placed back in the driver seat, the writing is uncomfortably terrible and the robots themselves actually look worse somehow.

Transformers as a franchise was played out by the time that this terrible soft reboot came knocking on our cinemas. The fact that there was another successful sequel after this one really raises questions about society as a whole.
