10 Successful Movies That Prove You Will Watch ANYTHING
4. Alice In Wonderland
Box Office: $1.025 billion
Another notch in Tim Burton's increasingly large belt of films that didn't need to be remade. Alice In Wonderland is a movie that didn't need to exist and yet had people flocking to it nonetheless. Much like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory before it, the original film needed nothing added to it and yet Burton decided to splash his sickly colour palate, with a heavy glob of Johnny Depp, all over it.
Every actor appears to be playing a caricature of some already borderline personalities, which adds an overly manic energy to the whole film that makes it an incredibly difficult watch. It is cringe inducing and uncomfortable rather than funny and any sense of whimsy from the original is replaced with confusion.
A movie to be watched throughout with gritted teeth, it features a deeply boring and undeveloped lead that leaves us wondering why we care if she ever finds her way out of this ludicrous world and how we were so unfortunate to find ourselves here as well? Because you all paid to be there apparently. Ouch.
