10 Supporting Movie Characters Who Deserve Their Own Film

7. Frozone - The Incredibles

Few studios can reliably create a universe like Pixar, and The Incredibles is one of the most delightful yet. Somehow finding a fresh spin on the superhero genre, their roster of now-retired costumed crusaders generated a lot of great characters. The most worthy of their own spin off film, though, is Samuel L Jackson’s Frozone.

The magic of Frozone is the simplicity of his execution. The character asks the question “what if Samuel L Jackson was a superhero”, and the answer is “it would be fun”. He serves as little more than comic relief in The Incredibles, best remembered for arguing with his wife as he searches for his super suit, but as with all heroes there’s a backstory to be mined here.

Jackson reprised the role in the sequel, and the prolific actor would no doubt do so again. Frozone has a charmingly lame power, turning humidity into ice, and the limitations would give the writers a challenge - make a film out of that!

Pixar seldom put a foot wrong, and Jackson as the lead would give them a great deal to work with. The Incredibles cinematic universe has room to expand.
