10 Sure Signs You Are An Utter Film Nerd

2. Rating Reasons Tell You What A Movie Is Before The Trailer Does

Movie Ratings Ap Graphics Bank Often times, you know what movie a trailer is for based on the first few actors or set pieces shown. If you're modestly nerdy, you might recognize the combination of studios (Warner Brothers and Syncopy - must be Christopher Nolan, right?), but what truly sets you apart in film nerdiness is knowing what movie it is based on its rating reasons on the "following preview" green screen. Everyone's sitting quietly in the movie theatre - you see the prompt come up with its rating: "Rated R for graphic violence, some grisly images, strong sexual content and language." You then say: "You know, I'm looking forward to the Counselor, but I'm really concerned that the studio hasn't screened it for critics. Or upon seeing:"Rated PG-13 for sexual content and language," you say: "Ah, Last Vegas looks like crap." What's even worse is that you're saying these things aloud and you're at the movies by yourself.
