2. Both End Up As Part Of A Super-Powered Group
Although Thor came to Earth alone - banished for his recklessness - he would end up as one of the big-hitters in the superhero team known as the Avengers. Recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D, he would fight alongside Hulk, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye against his adopted brother's alien army, the Chitauri - a battle that the Avengers won and saved the Earth in the process. Similarly, having been destined to fight alone ("she alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness, she is the slayer"), Buffy would become part of a team known as the Scooby Gang which, amongst others, included a witch, a vampire and an ex-demon. However, ultimately, she would become part of an army of identically powered slayers, whom Willow had turned from being potential slayers in to fully-blown demon-killing machines by virtue of the spell in which she utilised the weapon known only as "m".
