10 Surprisingly Rubbish Animated Movie Villains

1. Captain Hook - Peter Pan

The Lion King Scar
Disney

Captain Hook is an iconic villain, to be sure. He's struck fear into the hearts of children everywhere since the Victorian era, and has built up quite a reputation for himself.

But then there's the version of Captain Hook who is featured in Disney's animated Peter Pan and is...well, less than impressive. Look, yeah he's got a hook and a really cool red coat, but the man is scared of clocks and can't defeat a group of small children. Kids who have only ended up in Neverland because they were stupid enough to fall out of their prams as babies and roll away from their nannies (their words, not ours).

On the surface, it should be so embarrassing that he loses to Peter Pan. After all, Peter Pan can fly and stuff. But it's not so much the fact that he can't beat Peter, it's how quickly he loses ground and the way he acts after being defeated, humiliating himself by repeating whatever nonsense Peter demands from him. Who is this whimpering little baby and what happened to the legendary pirate captain?
