10 Surprisingly Rubbish Animated Movie Villains
4. Edgar Balthazar - The Aristocats
Edgar Balthazar is not what you might call a forward thinking individual. He's the butler of a wealthy old opera singer, and is driven into a homicidal rage when he discovers that the woman intends to leave her vast fortune to her cats first, and then to her butler second in the event of their death.
So naturally, he decides to kill them all. Here's the flaw: cats really don't live that long. You're going to get the money anyway. Why risk it all by trying to kill them and potentially getting caught?
And furthermore, why is he jumping the gun and kidnapping the cats before the lady is dead? He's not going to get the money until then anyway, so he should really just wait until he can kill them without anyone around to investigate. But the worst thing about Edgar is without a doubt his unwillingness to commit.
He wants to kill the cats, so he just sort of drops them off on the side of a road and hopes that they die. Sorry, but if you really want that money, you better be willing to finish things properly.
