10 Talented Actors Who Just Can't Seem To Make A Good Film
6. Jennifer Aniston
No. Of "Rotten" Films In Past 5 Years: 8 The weird thing is that everyone still loves Jennifer Aniston, despite the fact that she's turned in relatively awful movie after awful movie for the sum of the last 6 or 7 years. Indeed, the last tolerable film that Aniston made was Marley & Me, and even that picture will have its fair share of naysayers on account of its broad comic sensibilities. Jennifer Aniston is a wonderful comic actress; one with impeccable timing and the ability to really deliver a joke. It's the sort of talent you can't learn. She just has it. Aniston excels in bad comedy films, though: We're the Millers, Wanderlust, Horrible Bosses (that's right: it was really bad, guys), Just Go With It, The Switch, The Bounty Hunter... some of these movies are the worst attempts at funny to have graced the silver screen since the dawn of cinema. And yet Aniston doesn't seem to suffer from it; nobody judges her personally and the endless bad movies don't appear to inflict upon her reputation. Being such an iconic of the untouchable kind has its perks, then. Not that Jen hasn't tried to do something more than the usual schlock from time to time: Cake was an attempt to win some awards, and though she proved her dramatic chops, the film itself was flatly drawn and lacked oomph. Still, a good comedy movie once in a while would be nice, Jennifer.
