10 Talented Actors Who Just Can't Seem To Make A Good Film

7. Robert Pattinson

No. Of "Rotten" Films In Past 5 Years: 7 Robert Pattinson might have shot to fame as a result of the mostly terrible Twilight movies, but we can't hold that against him forever. Truth is, Pattinson is a great and undervalued actor - one whose filmography seems to be working against him as time goes on, given that it's packed to the brim with both really bad films and films that linger on the edge of being really bad. That's to say, Pattinson's "successes" over the course of the past 5 years aren't really successes at all - even his better efforts, such as The Rover, Map to the Stars, Cosmopolis and Water for Elephants are plainly average. Whatever else Pattinson has had a hand in - be it the recent films Queen of the Desert or Life - have emerged as critical bombs. Not because of Pattinson, mind you, who almost always give it his all in every single picture. Pattinson could - and should - have a career along the same lines as Daniel Radcliffe, and there are many who would claim that he's a far better actor. But whilst Radcliffe's movies seem to find both critical and commercial success, Pattinson's ventures - which are, on the whole, a lot weirder and a lot less mainstream - often emerge feeling cold and uninviting.
