Director: Mark Mylod

Ali G Indahouse is the third of Mark Mylod's films to make this list, making it a full house for the man that introduced us to new fanboy favourite Lyanna Mormont in last season's The Broken Man; this low-brow comedy was not only the first big-screen appearance for one of Sacha Baron Cohen's many characters, but also Mylod's feature film debut.

Ali G became a much-loved cult character through his appearances on British TV in the early to mid naughties, though his one-note gags get repetitive pretty quickly over a relatively short 88-minute run-time in Ali G Indahouse. A tired and tedious script certainly doesn't help Mylod here, but the main reason that the film is so terrible is the change in style from TV.

Despite Da Ali G Show having him conducting absurd interviews with real-life politicians, but this spin-off film revolves around a manufactured story; Ali gets used by an underhanded politician to discredit the British Prime Minister only to impress and start ascending the political ladder himself.

Watching Ali G Indahouse back today, you can't help but imagine how much funnier it would have been had it been done in the style of the original show, with real-life politicians reacting to Ali's seemingly genuine proposals - ensuring the immigration of attractive women into the UK, for example. As it is, Mylod takes about fifteen minutes of passable gags and stretches them well past breaking point.
