10 Terrible Films From 2020 (That You Should Still Watch)

1. Bloodshot

Based on the Valiant comic series of the same name, Bloodshot is a pulpy, ultraviolent sci-fi action romp that stars Vin Diesel as soldier Ray Garrison.

Killed by a group of mercenaries while on holiday with his wife, Garrison is brought back from the dead with the aid of experimental nanite technology that greatly enhance his strength. Suffering from amnesia but now an all-powerful super soldier, Garrison embarks on a bloody quest of vengeance against those who killed him and his wife.

Going by the premise alone, Bloodshot sounds like an incredibly cheesy action film; and that’s exactly what it is. However, it’s also a very dull, exposition-heavy, and predictable disappointment of a film that doesn’t give audiences much reason to care about the future of the superhero franchise Bloodshot was supposed to establish.

As a film, this RoboCop meets Wolverine mashup is terrible. From the ridiculous early-2000s style action to Diesel’s very shouty performance, everything is over-the-top and completely overdone – and that’s precisely why you need to watch it.

It might lack the stylish violence of Upgrade or the spectacle of other modern superhero movies, but Bloodshot is big, dumb entertainment and its best.
