10 Terrible Films From 2020 (That You Should Still Watch)

8. The Last Days Of American Crime

Sometimes a film can be so unfathomably terrible that it has to be seen to be believed. This year, that film is Netflix’s The Last Days Of American Crime.

Based on the graphic novel of the same name, the film comes to us courtesy of Taken 2 and Taken 3 director Olivier Megaton and takes viewers to America in a not-too-distant future where, as a last resort to stop the rampant crime that’s overrun the streets, the government plans to broadcast a signal that stops people from committing anything illegal. With only days until the signal begins, a group of career criminals plan a large heist and their escape across the Canadian border.

As a premise, the film had the potential to be a pulpy cult hit in the same vein as John Carpenter’s Escape From New York. In reality, though, this film turned out to be an over-long, mindless, and horrifically boring affair that’s a little too close to home for the premise to work as intended.

Sitting at a deplorable 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, this is the kind of film that should attract you to see just how bad it could be. Who knows, you might just have some fun.
