1. The Dark Knight - Batpod Flip
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPaTv98wUsE&t=2m34s Again, I love The Dark Knight; it's one of my favourite contemporary films, but there's one five-second moment in it that just completely bugs the Hell out of me, and that's right in the middle of arguably the film's best scene, as The Joker and Batman square off in the middle of the street. Batman drives the Batpod underneath The Joker's lorry, emerges out the other side, and releases two steel cables, which wrap around the lorry and cause it to flip on its end in spectacular fashion. It's an amazing sequence that's followed up by the worst single moment in the film, as Batman rides the Batpod into the wall of a nearby building in order to brake, flipping the Batpod against the wall into the opposite direction. Not only are the physics baffling - albeit perhaps not the first thing we should be criticising in a comic book movie - but the CGI looks blatantly false, and the fact that Nolan said he included it only because he saw one of his children playing with a toy in a similar fashion doesn't exactly suggest it was that well thought-out.
