10 Terrible Movie Super Villains Which Deserve Another Attempt

8. Poison Ivy

Poison Ivy isn't necessarily one of Batman's most evil foes, but she's certainly one of the most well-known, and her inclusion in 1997's Batman and Robin should have been Pamela Isley's finest moment.

With Uma Thurman cast to play the unhinged botanist, on paper it seems as though Poison Ivy should have been perfectly well represented. That is, until she wasn't.

Thurman's Poison Ivy did at least look the part, but that's about the only positive that can be said for the character.

Batman and Robin's cheesy dialogue and out-of-place humour simply didn't suit the world of the Dark Knight, and the inclusion of Bane as a mindless henchman of Poison Ivy's was nothing short of baffling.

While Poison Ivy wasn't the worst part of Batman and Robin, she's one of only a few aspects of the painfully bad movie that hasn't since seen anything much by way of another chance, even though her powers have always seen her rank highly among Batman's adversaries, and her lack of inclusion in any subsequent Batman movies is a little disappointing.

Even in today's dark, gritty DCEU, Poison Ivy could seem very much as home, as long as they leave the poor humour of the '90s adaptation where it belongs.
