10 Terrible Movie Super Villains Which Deserve Another Attempt

9. Doomsday

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was a huge cinematic mess of super-powered misfires.

Throwing together an ambitious amount of source material, as well as introducing two of Superman's biggest villains and the origins of the Justice League all in the space of just two and half hours apparently seemed like a good idea at the time, although the resulting disappointment from fans and critics alike soon put all that to bed.

Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor was difficult enough to stomach, but when the non-bald Luthor mingled his own DNA with that of the not-particularly-fresh corpse of General Zod to create Doomsday, it prompted actual audible groans from comic book fans everywhere.

While Doomsday isn't the easier character to get right in a movie's limited run time, inserting him as a minor secondary villain was nothing more than an insult to what should have been the Ultimate Killing Machine.

Making him look like a cheap Ninja Turtle mutation was just the final nail in the coffin, but Doomsday is a character that deserves his own Death of Superman movie arc, and not a bit part in a movie that only existed to set up the DCEU's Justice League.
