What The Poster Promised Us: Whereas as Alien vs Predator promised us a showdown between two of film’s greatest alien villains, this Batman v Supermen poster – debuting almost a whole year before the film was released with plenty of time to stir up the hype – guaranteed an almighty showdown between two of the most iconic good guys of all time.
Although fans weren’t too pleased with the announcement Ben Affleck would be playing Batman the poster certainly suggests he fits the part of brooding Caped Crusader.
What We Actually Got: A meandering mess of a movie that takes far too long to actually get to the point – you know, Batman meeting Superman in a legendary face-off between good and good. Even when they finally do get around to fighting, their battle almost immediately ends when the two superheroes realise both their mums are called Martha. And then Superman dies.
