10 Terrible Movies With Overlooked Positives

5. The Juno Spoof Is Actually Pretty Funny - Disaster Movie

Disaster MovieWhy It Sucked: A movie that so perfectly describes exactly what it is, this execrable entry into the Friedberg/Seltzer stable of woeful "spoofs" sticks to the usual procedure - spoofing films that have been out for far too long, by which point nobody really cares - and is as witless and joyless as any of them. Several movie scenes are repeated pretty much word for word, and apparently that passes for a spoof these days... The Overlooked Positive: The single impressive thing about this movie - other than the fact that it actually got made in the first place - is the performance by Crista Flanagan as Juney, a spoof of the Ellen Page-starring hit Juno. Though the writing is as low-brow as you can imagine, Flanagan, known for her extensive acts of mimicry on Mad TV, brilliantly nails a deadpan Page, and delivers pretty much the only laugh in the entire flick. Sadly, her movie career hasn't really graduated beyond these sorts of movies despite her evident talent.
