10 Terrible Recent Marvel Comics Moments That Shouldn't Make It Into The MCU

6. Falcon Becomes Captain America

As great as it is to see Sam Wilson become Captain America, it wouldn't be quite so great if this were to happen on the big screen. Superhero movies definitely need more diversity and there's no doubting the fact that Anthony Mackie would do a great job as the 'All-New Captain America', but there are two reasons this shouldn't go ahead in the MCU. For starters, it would be far more rewarding to see The Falcon established as an important superhero. Secondly, and even more importantly, is the fact that there is a more logical successor to the Captain America mantle if and when Steve Rogers is taken out of the equation: The Winter Soldier, of course. In the comic books, he took over as Cap following Steve's death, and the stories which came out of that were so good, fans didn't want the original to return. Bucky-Cap was a fantastic creation and something fans are desperate to see on the screen. It would do wonders for Sebastian Stan's career as well - he has a nine-picture deal with Marvel Studios and is expected to be a big part of Captain America: Civil War. Seeing him wield the shield and take over the role to redeem his HYDRA past is far more cinematic.
