4. Cyclops Goes Crazy

When Scott Summers was possessed by the Phoenix Force, he killed Charles Xavier and was ultimately imprisoned. Somewhere along the line, though, the public started viewing him as the wrongly accused face of a mutant revolution, and the groundwork was being laid for what looked set to be an epic story featuring the former leader of the X-Men. Unfortunately for comic book fans, that was when Brian Michael Bendis got involved. This could be an amazing story to see play out in a future X-Men movie, but what has since happened means that any sort of adaptation would be less than desirable. Cyclops has been portrayed as being borderline nuts, and based on what's been happening in All-New X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, Marvel are looking to establish him as the next Magneto. Cyclops has been treated badly enough in the X-Men movies without this happening too.
