10 Terrible Twists In Recent Movies That Pissed Us Off

1. The Dinosaurs Aren't The Threat - Jurassic World: Dominion

Scream VI

Because Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was a dumpster fire, we weren't expecting much from the the closer of the franchise. But since Jurassic World: Dominion was going to reunite the legacy cast with the modern ensemble, it was bound to scratch that nostalgic itch. And so long as we saw our heroes battling dinosaurs, it was sure to be fun, right?

But just like Halloween Ends, Dominion decided to swap out the main villain. (Seriously, when is that ever a good idea?) Although dinos appear, the primary threat this time around is genetically mutated locusts.

Let me repeat that. Of the THOUSANDS of prehistoric monsters that could've served as the arch-villain in this dinosauric blockbuster, the filmmakers went with overgrown grasshoppers!

Now, having our cast face off against a swarm of malicious locusts in a Jurassic World movie could work... but only if the bugs didn't serve as the primary threat. If we had Chris Pratt and the gang running from these monstrous insects in one scene, it would helped diversify the action and keep things fresh.

But considering these movies centre around man-eating reptiles, it doesn't make sense for the main antagonists to be anything except man-eating reptiles! I mean, why did filmmakers think Jurassic Park fans would want to see anything in Jurassic World: Dominion except dinosaurs?
