10 Terrible Twists In Recent Movies That Pissed Us Off

2. Michael Myers Isn't The Main Villain - Halloween Ends

Because Halloween Kills was a dud, horror fans had every reason to be wary of the follow-up, Halloween Ends. But some movie fanatics tried to look at the bright side. Even if the final instalment sucked, it will be awesome to see Laurie Strode and Michael Myers put an end to their 40-year-long feud in an epic showdown.

Sadly, Halloween Ends was far from awesome, since Michael was barely in it! Instead, Laurie spends most of the run-time butting heads with Michael's protege, Corey. Although Halloween Ends concludes with Laurie fighting Michael to the death, it still feels anticlimactic, since the iconic serial killer only has ten minutes of screen-time.

Now, let's be fair - switching Michael for another antagonist isn't a bad idea, at least in theory. But you can't change the villain in the franchise's final movie! Imagine if Harry Potter swapped out Voldemort in the last entry. Imagine if Avengers: Endgame concluded with our heroes battling someone besides Thanos. Can you envision how disappointing that would be?

Sadly, that's how many felt with while watching the epilogue of John Carpenter's once beloved saga. Although hopes weren't high, Halloween Ends managed to disappoint everybody, all thanks to this pointless bait-and-switch.
