10 Terribly Cheap Mockbusters That Ripped Off Famous Movies

8. Battle Of Los Angeles

In 2011, a critically savaged movie about American soldiers acting as the last line of defense against an unexpected alien invasion arrived in cinemas. It was called Battle: Los Angeles and it was much better than most gave it credit for, despite currently sporting a mediocre 5.7 on IMDb.

That same year, another movie from the Asylum arrived on DVD hoping to ride a wave of success from that movie that never came. It was called Battle of Los Angeles.

Despite the disgustingly minor difference in title, the biggest difference between these movies is that this cheaper ripoff has an astonishingly low score of 1.9 on IMDb, and is atrocious to watch. In fact, there is only one saving grace about this feature, and that is it stars Kel Mitchell. Yes, that same Kel Mitchell from Kenan and Kel.

Battle of Los Angeles is also about soldiers fighting an alien invasion, but with cinematography that looks like it's been shot on an iPhone 3, and spaceships ripped straight from discarded sketches from Independence Day. Don't watch it.
