10 Things Batman Movies Have Never Gotten Right About The Dark Knight

6. Robin

There have been three notable appearances of Robin in Batman films and none of them were good.

All of them portrayed the sidekick as incredibly campy and nowhere near as resourceful as the comic book version. In the books, Robin (specifically the Dick Grayson version) is the brighter side of the dynamic duo, but not a joke character; this brighter nature balances out Batman's usual darkness and ultimately makes him happier.

Even the version seen in Titans is lacking in accuracy, completely ditching the bright element of the character and basically making him a younger, less competent Batman - a major disappointment as the actor, Brenton Thwaites, looks like he's ripped straight from the comics.

So, future depictions should give the hero much more significance and a tone that is practically the opposite of Batman's, because, as has been stated numerous times across the comics, Batman needs Robin.
