10 Things Batman Vs Superman Won't Do Better Than The Dark Knight Trilogy
4. A Prominent Antagonist
Unfortunately for Snyder, and through no fault of his own, whichever villain(s) he decides to go with in Batman V Superman will pale in comparison to Nolan's. Even in regards to cinema as a whole, Heath Ledger's Joker is one of the greatest performances of any film, and to top it would create something truly special. Never say never, but it's highly unlikely that someone as psychotic, tragic and even somewhat relatable as the Joker in the Dark Knight is going to be topped in Batman V Superman. With the plot of Batman V Superman still tightly under wraps, nobody knows if the film is going to feature some other overarching conflict outside of the titular one. Lex Luthor has been confirmed to appear in the film, but we need more. Batman has one of the juiciest back catalogues in terms of villains, and Snyder needs to capitalise on some that didn't feature in Nolan's films. Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy would fit excellently into the mould, but it might be too soon to resurrect them for the big screen after Batman & Robin.
