10 Things Christopher Nolan Got Wrong About Batman

3. Batman's Not-So-Secret Identity

Only a small minority of trusted allies have earned the right to learn Batman's secret identity over the years, and many of them are in the Justice League. In the Christopher Nolan trilogy, however, the bat's out of the bag from the start.

In Batman Begins, Bruce Wayne seems fine with Rachel Dawes learning that he's Batman, even though such knowledge could get her killed, and he's careless enough to allow Coleman Reese to connect the dots in The Dark Knight.

Gotham's shadowy protector isn't nearly as guarded as he should be when it comes to his dual life, and this really shows in The Dark Knight Rises when Bane, Catwoman, Talia Al Ghul and John Blake figure out his secret identity. The latter is especially implausible, explained away by a throwaway line about a look in Wayne's eyes.

Granted, the likes of Bane have figured out that Bruce Wayne and Batman are one and the same in the comic books, but in the Nolan movies, the protagonist is far too lax when it comes to keeping his double life under wraps.
