10 Things DC Fans Don't Want To Accept About The DC Extended Universe
8. Wonder Woman Is The DCEU's Only Truly Great Movie
2017's Wonder Woman boasts the best Rotten Tomatoes score of all the DCEU movies, but even looking beyond the critics, it's clear that there's not been another title set in that world as good as this one. Finding the right balance between humour and serious storytelling, director Patty Jenkins also got a terrific performance out of the then mostly untested Gal Gadot.
The filmmaker also delivered an empowering, female-led blockbuster that proved moviegoers would pay to see a woman kick some butt on screen (something not even Marvel Studios had done at that stage). There's also not a single scene in any other DCEU release that comes close to Diana Prince racing across No Man's Land.
For the most part, DC fans agree that Wonder Woman was a pretty rad movie. However, what they probably won't tell you is that it's also the only truly great DC Comics adaptation Warner Bros. has released as part of what's become known as the "DC Extended Universe."
Some just can't see beyond the failings of other DC titles to understand that since 2013, there's only one DCEU movie that will be remembered as a true classic.
