10 Things You Didn't Know About Jennifer Lawrence

7. She Auditioned For Twilight And The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

When her parents wanted a professional opinion about their daughter€™s potential, they solicited the advice of acting coach Flo Greenberg. Having worked with Kirsten Dunst and Matt LeBlanc among others, Greenberg was well placed to judge Jennifer€™s ability and recommended that she €œpursue her acting career immediately.€ However, while her journey to fame was fast, it wasn€™t instant by any means. After graduating high school, Lawrence was allowed to go to New York for six weeks with her brother as a chaperone, and the inevitable move to L.A. soon followed. Jennifer appeared in a few TV shows, including a recurring role on The Bill Engvall Show, and popped up in several made-for-TV films, but the big break didn€™t quite happen. Aged 17, she auditioned for the part of Bella Swann in Twilight, soon realising that being turned down may have been a lucky escape after witnessing the media storm that followed Kristen Stewart€™s every move when the movie became a huge success. Lawrence also tried out for Lisbeth Salander in the US adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and lost out to Emma Stone when auditioning for Superbad, but it wouldn€™t be long before the right role came her way.

I watch movies and I watch sport. I also watch movies about sport, and if there were a sport about movies I'd watch that too. The internet was the closest thing I could find.
