10 Things From Spider-Man: TAS The Sony Spider-Verse Should Feature
2. Neogenic Nightmare
The Neogenic Nightmare story arc spanned the entire second season of the animated series and delivered some of the best episodes of the series. The Sinister Six, Hydro-Man, X-Men, the Punisher, Kraven the Hunter, Blade, and Vulture were all introduced.
As well as Morbius, the Living Vampire.
With Morbius already in Sony's Spider-Verse, they're ready to tell a new version of the Neogenic Nightmare story. Of course, it's unlikely that the X-Men, Blade, and the Punisher will feature, but they can use two other major elements of the plot (but fingers crossed that some behind the scene deal does allow Sony to use a few non-Spider-Man properties in their world).
A variation of the Neogenic Recombinator can be introduced and lead to one of the Spider-Verse Spider-Men becoming the Man-Spider, a gruesome creature that would mesh well with the sci-fi/horror aesthetic Venom and Morbius have created.
The Tablet of Time could also be introduced but as a red herring. A mythical relic seemingly powerful enough to grant its user eternal youth, it could function as another intriguing MacGuffin alongside the Time Dilation Accelerator.
