10 Things Marvel Fans Don't Want To Accept About Sony's Marvel Universe

4. Sony's Future Plans Are Surprisingly Exciting

In an ideal world, Marvel Studios would have somehow regained the rights to the Spider-Man franchise just like they have with the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Unfortunately, the chances of that happening in the near future appear to be somewhere between slim and none, and so Sony Pictures will continue forging ahead with its "SPUMC."

For many fans, that's a disaster, especially after Venom. However, looking ahead to what's to come from the studio, and it doesn't seem unfair to say that their plans are actually pretty exciting.

There are those who would have you believe that Sony has no idea what to do with Spider-Man, and while they've made plenty of mistakes, that's unfair. Putting Andy Serkis behind the camera for Venom: Let There Be Carnage is definitely a step in the right direction, while J.C. Chandor stands a chance of bringing a lot to a project like Kraven the Hunter.

Throw in that Silk TV series and vague plans for characters like Black Cat, Silver Sable, Jackpot, Spider-Woman, and even the upcoming Morbius movie, and it might do the Marvel Cinematic Universe to have some competition!
