10 Things Marvel Wants You To Forget About The MCU

3. That Time Tony Gave His Address To A Terrorist, Then Did Nothing To Protect Himself From An Attack

Iron Man 3 caught a lot of heat from fans for the aforementioned Mandarin twist, as well as this - the dumbest moment in any Avenger movie to date. Tony gives his address to a terrorist on live television, and then goes home and does nothing to protect himself from the inevitable attack to follow. Now, there is nothing wrong with Tony announcing his address to the world. He had already admitted to being Iron Man and was a well-known celebrity before that so it wouldn't take a genius to figure out where he lived. He's also a cocky prick so it is well within his character to do something like this. But he is also a genius. And a genius would not announce his address to the world and then sit at home and do nothing when he has a bunch of Iron Man suits sitting in the basement and a "House Party Protocol" already in place. He should have had JARVIS (that incompetent douche) monitoring the skies around his house, and had the forty-odd suits ready to go. While what follows in the film is a pretty cool action scene, this moment was incredibly dumb, incredibly out of character, and should be forgotten.

Yes, my last name is pronounced exactly as it's spelled. Just like "going to the store". ;) I am an aspiring writer currently working on my first novel, which is GOING to be awesome once it's published. (See what I did there?) I love reading, am a HUGE film buff (who welcomes all trivia challenges), and never miss a New York Giants football game. I'm an open book so if there is anything else you'd like to know about me, just ask.
