Steve Rogers is one of the most popular characters in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the smart money says that even in spite of him potentially never showing his face in the franchise again, he always will be.

The very final scene of Avengers: Endgame showed Steve finally having his happy ending, living a peaceful life with Peggy Carter the way he wanted before he ever became Captain America. But, for all the questions this raised, there is one thing that simply cannot be ignored.

Yes, fans have struggled to come to grips with Steve just sitting back and doing nothing about the problems in the world around him, and there are questions about the whole timeline and whether he physically should have been able to jump into this life and still go back to talk to Sam as an old man, but the most unforgivable thing was the kiss in Captain America: Civil War.

To make it clear, Civil War is a stunning movie and is still up there with the best of the MCU, but it isn’t perfect, and still fell victim to having an unnecessary romance shoe-horned in for seemingly no reason. Do you think Steve ever told Peggy in their new life that he kissed her niece, or is that something he would have kept from their happy ending?
