10 Things MCU Phase 3 Must Avoid (And Why)

1. Making Infinity War Overcrowded

The biggest challenge above all else will be ensuring that the Infinity War saga isn't a crowded mess of characters, plot-lines and set-pieces.

Considering that the film will reportedly deal with almost 70 characters, the Russos have a lot to cram on the screen, and making the various dialogues and set-pieces work without it seeming slapdash will take an incredible amount of effort and patience.

It's most likely that the various subsets of heroes will be compartmentalised into smaller battles, such that we probably won't get to see much of the Guardians of the Galaxy hanging out with the mainline Avengers team. Plus, if Civil War is anything to go by, the Avengers themselves are already conveniently already split into two teams, ready to go for Infinity War.

It's certainly not impossible, but the odds are definitely for it feeling at least a little cluttered. As ever, we'll have to wait and see.
