10 Things MCU Phase 3 Must Avoid (And Why)
3. Killing Off Loki
Considering that Thor: Ragnarok is widely expected to be Loki's final appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many suspect that he will be killed off in the film, most likely sacrificing himself to save Thor and/or The Hulk (the latter of which would be an amusingly ironic turn of events).
Likely though this is, it'd be a major mistake to kill off easily the most entertaining villain in the MCU to date, not to mention a character who is decidedly more compelling than most of The Avengers themselves.
He brings so much wit and delicious villainy to the table, and it feels Loki really should be one of those characters who is never killed, but merely re-appears every so often to cause mayhem.
Even if he doesn't die, though, should he in fact end up cast as the next James Bond, that'll likely signal the end of the character anyway...short of a re-casting (which would be even worse).
