Mission Impossible 6: 10 Things It Must Address

6. Make Those Crazy Stunts Mean Something

Tom Cruise hanging on to the side of a plane - in real life, not CGI - is absolutely, jaw-droppingly insane. Full credit to Cruise for going way, way over the top for this incredible stunt. Few if any other actors would even attempt it. Sure, he no doubt had the best safety harness money could buy and the best stunt team around, but it was still a legitimately terrifying feat.

However, this amazing moment in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation was cheapened by the fact that it wasn't even central to the plot. It was the opening set piece, unrelated but by the slightest, tiniest of connections to the central plotline, that the shadowy "Syndicate" was setting up seemingly unrelated terrorist acts all over the world.

Lets reiterate that: Tom Cruise flew on the side of an actual plane, and it had almost no bearing on the movie itself.

That is completely absurd.

Mission: Impossible seems to love these crazy actions sequences because Cruise loves them, and there's almost no doubt that the trend will continue in the sixth film. Make it count, folks.
