10 Things You Need To Know About Marvel Phase 3

7. It's Not The End

Since Thanos first turned and smirked to the audience in the post-credits scene of The Avengers his story has been treated by fans as the big end-point of the MCU. It's an epic, galactic tale that would be nigh-on impossible to top. So you'd be forgiven for thinking that Marvel have just laid out their full game plan. Of course, when the franchise is on the brink of becoming the highest grossing movie series ever, it'd be absolutely bonkers to stop. Marvel hasn't got where it is with such shaky business sense; barring a depressing run of box office flops, expect Phases 4 and 5 to follow. When announcing the Phase 3 movies, Kevin Feige was rather cagey about what the future held beyond them, but it was clear that, while it could mark the end of the journey for the heroes who started the whole thing off (see previous point), there's definitely more to come. Obvious when you think about it - there's still Infinity Crusade to adapt. Back in April, Marvel announced they had a plan up to 2028, meaning Infinity War is really just the mid-point of the two-decade long saga. We can't wait to see where they go afterwards.
