5. Black Panther Will Appear Before His Solo Outing
Since the very start Marvel has been happy introducing some of the series' main heroes as supporting players in another character's film, rather than succumbing to urge to give everyone their own big movie; Black Widow first appeared in Iron Man 2, Hawkeye popped up in Thor and we met Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It keeps things leaner and while it may annoy fans of specific heroes, it keeps the overarching continuity fresh. Interestingly, none of these characters have gone on to star in their own films, but in Phase 3 that's all about to change. Black Panther may be heading up his own film in 2017, but audiences will have already met him in Captain America: Civil War, making his stand-alone something other than an origin story (finally). We imagine he'll play a sizeable role in that film, possibly representing the secret identity issue (all other heroes are pretty open about their superheroics). This tact of having heroes established before their film debut is a good idea from Marvel - it helps build the feeling of a fully, already existing world, rather than one that adds new heroes every couple of years by convenience.
