10 Things You Need To Know About X-Men: Apocalypse

10. The Release Date

All movies have release dates, and X-Men: Apocalypse is no exception to that rule. As it currently stands, the eight X-Men movie is set to be released on May 18th, 2016, which means that we've got just under two years to go until this bad boy winds up in theatres everywhere. Considering that X-Men: Days of Future Past still feels fresh in our memories, then, two years seem about right (although said date is subject to change). What's more, the movie is currently scheduled for release around the same Memorial Day weekend that Days of Future Past found itself released on earlier this year, suggesting that the studio are keen to replicate the success of that movie by delivering it to audiences in exactly the same way that it delivered the last installment - hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? Principal photography is rumoured to begin next April.
