3. Ewoks

Want to know what's dumber than a cross-hilt lightsaber? The imperial army defeated by muppets. Okay, fine, not muppets exactly, but you get the idea. Many a fan has a soft spot for the Ewoks. Maybe it's the whole nostalgia trip and how everything was better when you were a kid. Maybe it's because of the old animated series. Maybe they're just sort of cute. Let's face it though - having a species of oversized Teddy bears take on the Empire in the final film of the original trilogy was just plain dumb. Having them defeat a highly advanced army with rocks and speers was worse. Yes, they had help, and yes, many of them were slaughtered, but overall, it was still possibly the dumbest thing in the original, unedited trilogy.
