10 Things That Could Save Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
4. Allocate Equal Screen Time To Batman And Superman
While team-ups have been a staple of the superhero genre for years in the comics, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first time Hollywood studios have attempted to cash in on this concept. Despite the many reservations held by fans, deep down, it's hard to deny that the majority are still excited by the idea of finally seeing these iconic heroes together on the big screen. Snyder's version of Superman has already been established in the Man of Steel, but Affleck's role as Batman will be new to audiences, so there's a danger that the scriptwriters may feel tempted to allocate more screen time to the Dark Knight in order to introduce this new interpretation of the character. However, this approach is unnecessary as audiences are already extremely familiar with the character of Batman and this may come across as rather clunky. While the plot must naturally flow, it's important that the scriptwriters allocate equal screen time to both Batman and Superman, so that fans of either hero do not feel short-changed. This may seem like nitpicking, but some fans are already criticizing the fact that Batman has been given first billing in the title of the movie, so you can imagine the outrage that would ensue if Superman only appeared in one quarter of the final film!
