10 Things That Could Save Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

3. Gal Gadot Proves Critics Wrong As Wonder Woman

If Jesse Eisenberg's casting as Luthor caused outrage, the announcement confirming that Gal Gadot was officially Wonder Woman almost broke the internet. The list of criticisms directed her way are almost too vast to be contained in one mere article, but it's worth addressing a few here. Those who are worried that Gadot will not look the part shouldn't worry, as the actress has already beefed up considerably between the time she was officially cast and the first picture of the costume was unveiled. Gadot will undoubtedly continue to work out extensively while the movie is being shot and let's face it guys. Linda Carter wasn't particularly muscular and most would agree that she did a convincing job of playing Wonder Woman back when the classic 1970's show was first aired. Another issue that some fans hold against Gal Gadot is that she's a relatively unknown actress and the problem is that she may not be able to portray the Amazonian warrior convincingly. This may seem like an understandable concern considering the iconic status of this character, but people have to bear in mind that Warner Bros. didn't just cast Gal Gadot arbitrarily. The actress auditioned for the part just like all the other contenders and ultimately, Gadot is the one who was offered the role, so she must have done something pretty special to impress the studio in her auditions. Just like Heath Ledger did with his role as the Joker, Gadot now has to pull off a phenomenal performance in order to silence her critics. Let's just hope the script provides her with ample opportunity to do so, as many fans are currently gunning for Gadot, waiting for her eventual downfall upon the films release.
