10 Things That NEED To Happen In Upcoming Movie Sequels

7. M'Baku Becomes The New Black Panther - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Production of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was thrown into a tailspin following Chadwick Boseman's untimely death in 2020, with director Ryan Coogler forced to massively pivot in order to produce a coherent sequel which honored the legacy of Boseman's T'Challa.

Marvel Studios sensibly opted not to recast the character, though ever since this has generated fervent discussion among fans about who will take up the mantle of the new Black Panther.

For many, the obvious choice seemed to be T'Challa's sister Shuri (Letitia Wright), though given Letitia Wright's controversial vaccine-skeptical social media posts, a large portion of fans shifted to favour M'Baku (Winston Duke) instead.

M'Baku certainly seems like a smart choice - Winston Duke is a terrific actor with a strong screen presence that'd make him a fitting successor to Boseman.

With reports that Duke was able to secure himself a larger salary due to his expanded role in the sequel, hopefully that means he'll be the one to carry the torch forward for the franchise.

Marvel Studios is keeping tight-lipped about this one for the time being, though, so we'll have to wait and see.
