10 Things That Would Make The PERFECT Batman Film

6. Give Alfred Some Sass

Look back at all the different Alfred Pennyworth portrayals and the one thing to highlight is how involved they slowly became in Batman's endeavors:

Think of the character, and you might imagine a stiff-backed servant carrying a tray of food into the Batcave. But Jeremy Irons' and Michael Caine's performances show not just an enabler to Bruce Wayne's actions, but an active participant.

Alfred has never been one to hold back sage advice to the Dark Knight, but a wonderful relationship between the two can also hinge on the faithful butler's attempt to lighten the mood. Countering Batman's sardonic and brooding is often a charming and sometimes sarcastic voice in the back of Bruce' mind who reminds him of the insanity that is Batman and his Rogues Gallery.

In all other media outside the films, Alfred has been the one to deliver the last line and it's usually been a sick burn that flies in the face of Batman's enemies. With Andy Serkis cast in the role for next year's release, it will be interesting to see how a younger and possibly more physical Alfred will gel with Master Wayne.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
