10 Things The MCU Needs To Do With The Fantastic Four

4. Focus On Exploration

Fantastic Four
Marvel Comics

The Fantastic Four are not like other superheroes, one could even argue that they aren't superheroes period. As Mark Waid explored in his inaugural issue of his legendary run of the characters which could almost be seen as an examination of the series as a whole, the FF are closer to explorers and trailblazers than classic superheroes.

The goal of the Four has always been and will always be to forward scientific and human understanding. Sure, if a bad guy comes and starts trouble while they're in the immediate area, if Galactus comes to have another go at eating the planet, if Doctor Doom rears his ugly mug, they'll step up. But that isn't the reason they work together.

The tone the new FF movies should take should be one of exploration. Of finding new worlds, new civilizations, while also building the MCU multiverse to expand possibilities for new IP, but I'm sure that's *nowhere* near the forefront of Feige's mind.
