10 Things To Expect From Star Wars Celebration Orlando
1. A Trailer For The Last Jedi
It’s what everybody’s been waiting for. For attendees to leave Celebration without seeing a trailer for The Last Jedi would be a disaster for Lucasfilm, and would arguably have a lot of people speculating about issues with the film’s post-production. The initial trailer for The Force Awakens broke the internet a whole year before the movie came out, and yet here we are, nine months from Episode VIII, and not even a teaser.
Orlando serves as the perfect time and place to unveil the trailer – it’s obviously going to play to a receptive audience, but it’ll also leave enough time for excitement to build, without eventually burning out.
Whether the trailer will be released to the wider public simultaneously is another matter entirely. When Rogue One’s second trailer premiered at Celebration Europe last summer, it was shown only to paying attendees, while the rest of us had to wait until a few weeks later to see it.
